Over 6,000 books are in our collection, with an emphasis on Southwestern history, literature and art. We have special sections for age-related books including a teen section and a separate chilren’s reading room.

History, history and more history! One of our cabinets features artifacts related to the Morada del Alto y de Moqui. We also have Gonzales/Bodes papers dating from the 1920’s. Standing display contain rare books relating to Abiquiú. There are reproductions of historic photos in all our rooms.

Our guests have access to the digital archive during library hours with assistance from one of our librarians, including an extensive Genizaro Archive.

Free e-books and e-audio books for all New Mexico residents. This collection primariy includes Southwest history and culture titles and fiction by New Mexico authors or set in the Southwest.
